Event Roundup – August 2 – August 6

While the Marketplace Open Enrollment Period has officially closed, you may still qualify for opportunities to change your plan or get health coverage.

Illinois residents that experience a “qualifying life event,” such as having a baby, getting married or losing employer coverage, could qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). Remember, you can also apply for Medicaid at any time.

This event will provide fun for the whole family with a free showing of The Lego Movie in the park, face painting and food. Why you should go: Are you still lacking health coverage? Join Navigators from El Hogar del Nino for free enrollment assistance at the Taxi Facility. These assisters can provide the help you need to sign up for a health plan and start using your coverage. In addition to free Marketplace and Medicaid assistance, this event offers dental screenings for attendees of all ages in addition to school dental and vision exams.
